Daxa Parmar is a Painter and Artist with a studio base at Candid Arts Trust in Angel, London. Commissioned work includes large to medium scale paintings and temporary large scale artwork. Clients include The Princes Trust, Northampton Museum & Art Gallery, Tony & Guy and Leicester City Council. She has been exhibiting regularly for the last 10 years in solo and group shows. In 2010 Daxa graduated with a Masters in Art & Design, specialising in Painting, from the School of the Arts, Loughborough University where she was awarded a scholarship. Daxa has also received an Arts Council Grants for the Arts Award. She has worked as a Mentor and CPD Trainer to Artists at The Public, West Bromwich, The Princes Trust, East Midlands and Arts and Media Training, Coventry.
Daxa’s work is process based, focussing on repetitious mark making and placement. Through this process she endeavours to slow down her experience of time and affect that of the audience. Her subject matter is the landscape around us.
