To celebrate their new online arts and culture magazine ‘Vibe Press’, Vibe Gallery are collaborating with TRANSITION COLLECTIVE to bring you ‘Stimuli’ – things to excite the senses and sensory deprivation hallucinations.The unity of separate entities through sensation real or imagined, and the manipulation of perception and memory.
The impetus – to exist, to explore, to consume, to play, to transform, to destroy, to nurture, to disorientate. Strange new worlds, the detachment and revelation created inside a void.
A pared back exploration of emotional and emotionless life, and the formation and storage of memories. Fear conditioning, sensory stimuli reaching out to associate.
The collective take on alien siphonophoric flesh and internal light, each art zooid is an individual, but their integration attains the character of a larger organism. Reach in. Feel the sting.

A development from last January’s exhibition Con:FRONT. Journeys, achievements, inspirations from then to now, bite narrative flashes. From the confrontation to the transcendence. Peaks of emotion, orgasmic limbo, trapped nerves, phobic crescendo, the excess of success, burst barriers held before you in glorious stopped motion. Celebrate the high, the adrenalin, the gut reaction, moments of triumph captured and distorted. From birth, to bloom, to animal experience, to discovery, intellectual exploration and expansion, mental and physical exertion, euphoria.
Come and suck on our frozen gin-atomic grenades.

TRANSITION COLLECTIVE is a rapidly expanding family of experimentation, collaboration and innovation. Created in November 2011 by artist/curator Yvette Blackwood, the collective have already generated a good voice and a strong energy, encouraging interaction across a broad range of artistic practices by emerging artists whose work is thought provoking, both visually and conceptually. Vibe Gallery has provided invaluable support during our development over the past year and we are very happy to be made permanent residents.
