Amongst the candle light and shadows Chalk Dust Cabaret presented Pie Eyed. Did you seen the strange man in the corner rummaging through the bins? And that barmaid was clearly giving you the eye. The rowdy girl’s just entered the scene, hoops bigger than the ash trays and a mad look in There eyes. And who ordered the cheeky stripper? Just a little of what happened on Thursday 18th.

Vibe Gallery is hosting the official Launch of the online magazine Vibe Press, on the 26th April 2013, 7.00pm.
VIBE Press is a written platform for innovative art in its diversity: painting, sculpture, drawing, writing, music, fashion, food and photography. The magazine is a joint venture; a partnership between VIBE Gallery and volunteer writers, photographers and illustrators.
To showcase Vibe Press, we are excited to announce that ‘Transition Collective’ will be
exhibiting a collaboration of art works and live performance, thematically surrounding Stimuli. Artists will be exploring notions to excite the senses and sensory deprivation hallucinations, where the unity of separate entities through sensations real or imagined, are a type of manipulated perception and memory. The collective will take on alien siphonophoric flesh and internal light. Each art zooid is an individual but their integration attains the character of a larger organism. Reach in. Feel the sting.
Vibe Gallery will be delighted to have the pleasure of your company at our newfangled industrial-chic basement, to enjoy an evening that will push boundaries in new directions.
We have also arranged some extra perks for you on the night! You will have a chance to taste various wines, courtesy of Hayward Bros Wines and taste delicious freshly made canapés, made especially for this occasion, by catering company Ginger Nuts.
Stimuli exhibition will run from 27th of April until 3rd of May.

A touching, inspiring and funny evening showcasing acts, anecdotes and creative talents.
The night is designed to address the issues of those suffering hidden pain and difficulties that the outside world often doesn’t understand or even know. Although the subject is a serious one, our objective is to break the stigma of mental illness and bring a lighthearted and approachable outlook of the condition to a wide audience. The struggles faced in otherwise simple tasks lead to a unique set of problems and solutions. In all periods of personal tribulation there can be varying moments of fortitude, hilarity and indignity.
Black Dog Night, hopes to bring all of these facets from the shadows and make the invisible more visible. Our aim is that you will leave the evening entertained, informed and inspired.
What exactly is the “Black Dog”:
The phrase “Black Dog” was made famous in recent times by Sir Winston Churchill referring to his own personal battles with depression. The metaphor however, goes way back to the Ancient Rome and was used by Horace to describe a bad omen or a symbol of the devil. In the 1800′s a more modern version of the expression has taken place ”’a black dog has walked over me” to describe being in a state of mental depression (Brewer 1870).
