We are excited and honored to announce that after the first very successful film event in January, we are one the best film events in the UK according to ‘Gorilla’ film magazine for this week. Join us this Thursday the 23rd of February while we are sharing and exposing few of the best documentary film talents in the UK.

We at the Vibe Gallery are looking for a volunteer to assist us in the development of our projects. You will be needed 2-3 days a week and you will have the great opportunity to assist in the marketing, exposure and taking off of the Vibe Gallery in Bermondsey.

We run Arts exhibitions, music, film and live performance events. The working environment is exciting, very creative and we believe that it is a great opportunity for anyone who needs a hands on experience in a very Artistic space.

The gallery is 5 mins walk from Bermondsey Tube Station.

‎14th of February is approaching and we have something special going on in the Vibe Gallery – Jason Atomic is joining Valentine’s Vibe to make an exciting live portrait sketching performance of the event’s guests. You better be there!!

Jason Atomic says:
“I’m obsessed with authenticity of line, I sketch from life & don’t take my eye off the model while I’m drawing. I fix them with my stare and don’t take my eyes away from them till the sketch is done. Meanwhile, my hand scratches away at my book like a robot spider-claw.”

This is the first solo show by young London-based artist Grace Aza-Selinger; www.graceaza-selinger.com.
It has promised to be an exciting event with new works produced specifically for the show and in our opinion succeeded. Grace’s work has focused on nature and our need to re-evaluate our relationship with the world around us. She looked at our current disconnection and alienation that can be felt living in a cosmopolitan city.
With this site-specific installations and over 2,800 sq ft of floor-space to play with, we expected something a bit different and have not been disappointed.

Artist of the month at the Vibe

Check out the new art work by ”Mark B”.  This up and coming artist graduated from Royal college of furniture. He is currently developing a unique style of art challenging the concepts of form and texture.

This artist understands the concept of scale and form; and with his unique attack on the visual, the artwork becomes alive. You must take time to tack in the forms, as the mind builds on the observation to canvas. The artwork is of a fine quality and reasonably priced for London, making this artist’s work one of the best visual investments.

The Vibe pulled it off again with a fantastic selection of independent films !

The INDIE-VIBE film night went down a storm; people were finally leaving only when the bar was closed. The new equipment only emphasized the quality of the artist’s work! Proving that this is now a venue for independent  film; exposure, sharing, promotion.

The atmosphere in the Vibe allowed for everyone to relax and enjoy the marvelous selection of independent films shown. Danai, the film events organizer carefully selected a wide range of documentaries, comedies, visual and audio creations and drama. The feedback was overwhelming and we are excited to accept the next submissions. documentaries it is ! And it will be showcasing them on the 23rd of February and every last Thursday of every month ( if not more often ) Join us.

Another poetry mash up was so appreciated by the audience we had to do more!

The Vibe gallery was really creating/pushing the boundaries of poetry with new artists and free-style rappers working together mixing with traditional Indian music. The night turned to be a very interesting one.

The collection of poets and musicians made an event of great entertainment. Just few of them: Paul Taylor, Biz Bankole, Emil Khan, Mike Martin, Elaine Battersby and a number of people who just turned up to see what’s going on.  The vibe then took on a life of its own and created a poetry event that inspired and pushed the boundaries. If you wish to join in the fun come to the next Free poetry night with creative writing and performances.

Art Caffe London has gathered an incredible Team of Artists for its first exhibition of the year. Curated by Nadia Spita at the Vibe Gallery we gave the opportunity to exhibit in the Vibe Gallery space 12 artists who have played with the size to show what the best they can do in a limited space.
Live Music was a super plus! People seemed to enjoyed every moment of the night. We had to let them go just after the bar was closed.
